Update on Progress & Customisation


As the LUMEN Jam is reaching its closing days I thought it would be a good time to write an update on Fade Beyond the Veil. 

The Core game and rules are fully written and laid out in the zine covering How to Play, advice for GMs, Character creation, Weapon crafting and enemies. 

On the topic of Character Creation I am still fleshing out the Traits which can be used to customise your characters. I currently have 26 Traits written and I'm hoping to have a minimum of 40 for the final version.  There are also 6 classes to chose from each with unique Stats, a Passive ability and 3 active abilities. Currently 3 of these classes are done and I'm hoping to have the next 3 finished over the next couple of days. Im trying to give these a nice and clean layout without taking too many pages in the zine so I'm aiming for 2 per page.  

Weapon Crafting currently 11 weapon types and there are 19 Tags  finished. I'm aiming for a total of 1 tables of 20 tags to ensure no two weapon rolls feel the same, but there is still a bunch of work to be done finishing up these tags (who knew a bunch of 1 sentence rules for weapons and characters could take so much time!) 

There are also 5 Scenarios still being fleshed out in the zine and a 2 page spread of guidance on how to develop your own Skirmish battles. The zine is looking like it will be about 40 pages once finished.

I thought I preordered this but cannot tell.

If you preordered it you should see the game in your library. Or in the main game page under the itchfunding bar it should say "You own this game"
